When marketing your MLM, should you use your profile or fan page?

In this training, I share exactly what to use and what to tell your teammates to use.

We started blogging in 2009, I NEVER went to our team and said, “You guys should all be blogging.”

Because not everyone has a level of desire that is going to have them overcome the technical crap of learning how to blog.

So, if someone said “Hey, I want to learn how to blog,” I would do my best to talk them out of it. If I was unable to then I knew they probably had what it took.

If a teammate came to me and said, “Hey, you know what, I want to blog.”

I would say, “Well you know what,  you got to pay for a domain name, you got email you pay monthly, you got this and all these things and it takes time and, you know, you might want to prospect because that’s free.”

And if they said, “You know what, you’re right,” then they never would have made it in blogging.

But if someone would say, “You know what, I get it, it’s a business, I got it, it’s expenses. I’m fine with that.”

I’d say, “Okay, all right. Well here’s how you do it.”

But I never told them they had to do it.

Using Facebook Profile VS Fan Page

Just like I never went to them and said, “Hey, you, you should definitely have a Facebook Page.”

Now, if someone is, “Hey, I’m a marketer, and I’m long-term in the game, I’m gonna be in this game. I’m not seeing if it works, but I’m gonna be in this game five years from now, 10 years from now.”

Then I would suggest have a Page because I think a Page is smart long-term.

But I just wouldn’t require my teammates to all set up their own Pages. And I’ve seen trainers do that. I’ve seen people that they’ve had success on a Page so they tell everybody they have to set one up too.

Investing

As far as setting up a Page, one of the great things about it is you have much more flexibility around advertising. We invest a lot of money in advertising, testing things, selling things, and all kinds of stuff.

Know that advertising is to create the ability to spend more, two track, and three split test. If you do those three things, you will become, and you do it over, and over and over, you’ll become a very successful advertiser.

For me, I like Pages long-term, like long-term I think a Page makes sense. You can build it to unlimited.

How To Increase Engagement On A Fan Page

As far as from Profile just understand that when you start with your Page, you are going to get less traction 100% of the time. It seems like no matter how many times I warn someone against that, they still like, “Ray, I’ve been doing this for three days, man, I still get more people on my personal.” I’m like, “You’re going to for a long time.”

There are ways to increase that.

If you’re building something new when it comes to Social Media or marketing, you go from your strength to the new.

Let’s say you have an amazing Instagram following and you’re like, “You know what, I’m gonna do a Page.

Well, I would highly suggest that you use your strength and point people to your Facebook Page. Now, some people would say, “Well, Ray, that’s taking them off.”

Well they’re both done by Facebook anyway, so it’s not that much of a leap. But, where you are strong, so in your example your strong on your personal profile, and you’re trying to build this thing. If you’re a long-term marketer then you’re creating content to attract people to you, right?

So, let’s just for the ease of argument sake say that you have 10 inspirational quotes that you really love, just for simplicity here.

I would do a Facebook Live, and I would say, “Hey, Guys, …” I would do the whole intro, question, content, call to action, right? So, I would, “Hi, my name is _____ and would you like to get more inspiration in your life? I have three quotes that I really, really like that I think will resonate with you and really help you out.”

You do the three quotes, boom, boom, boom, and then I would just be straight forward about it.

Say, “I’m pulling a sneaky snake on you. I actually have seven more inspirational quotes. Did you like these quotes? Well, I got seven more, and I’m actually going to go live on my brand-new Page, and I’m gonna give you the other seven. If you like these quotes, wait till you see this quote, especially number seven, this one’s gonna blow your mind. It literally changed my life when I first heard it. It made so much sense.” And I’m going to build up the value of what’s going to be there. In the comments below paste your Facebook Page.

Not everyone will follow you. If you have 100 over here, you may get 8. 10, maybe you’re super-persuasive. But, you continuously doing that. And, still provide value over here.

Set the expectations of, “I know this is gonna take some time.”

As far as making that transition, you do this enough and it’ll work.
